BMW India has launched the Individual 740Li M Sport Edition in the country, priced at INR 1,42,90,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. The limited edition 7 Series is being locally assembled at the company’s Chennai facility and can be ordered online here. As the prefix ‘Individual’ suggests, certain elements of the car can be customized.
The exterior of the car can be finished in either Tanzanite Blue or Dravit Grey—two special metallic colors. 19-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design are offered as standard, while there are 20-inch options in star-spoke and V-spoke designs.
The interior is where the limousine offers some customization. The embroidery on Alcantara headrests and backrest cushions can be customized, and if I’m not wrong, the text on the wooden inlays as well. Other than that, the cabin is upholstered with Nappa leather in Mocha and Black combination. Since we are talking about a 7 Series, it is loaded with more than sufficient features, including massaging function with 8 programs, 4-zone climate control, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, rear-seat entertainment system with two 10.2-inch touchscreens, and adaptive 2-axle air suspension. As the name suggests, the 740Li is a petrol variant, powered by a 3.0-litre (2,998 cc) straight-six turbocharged unit that develops 250 kW (340 metric hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. An 8-speed steptronic automatic transmission drives the rear wheels.
