Ducati has launched the Multistrada V4 in India, available in two variants: V4 and V4 S, priced at INR 18.99 lakh and INR 23.10 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom. The adventure motorcycle competes against the likes of BMW R 1250 GS and Honda Africa Twin.
Standard equipment includes an adjustable windshield, a 5-inch TFT display, riding modes, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, adjustable front & rear suspension, and adjustable seat height. Braking duties are handled by discs measuring 320 mm at the front and a single 265 mm disc at the rear.
The V4 S differs from V4 with a larger 6.5-inch TFT display with Ducati Connect; Ducati Skyhook (semi-active suspension), Ducati Quick Shift, Vehicle Hold Control, larger 330 mm front discs with Brembo M50 Stylema calipers, and full LED headlights.
Both variants are powered by a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft, developing 125 kW (170 metric hp) at 10,500 rpm and 125 Nm (92 lb-ft) of torque at 8,750 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
