DS Automobiles has launched a limited edition DS 7 Crossback Ligne Noire for European markets, available with conventional petrol, diesel and also two PHEV powertrains. Prices in France start at €45,500.

As the name ‘Ligne Noire’ (Black Line) suggests, the limited edition features gloss black elements such as window surrounds, a tailgate strip, taillight surrounds, and roof rails. There will be six exterior colors to choose from: Perla Nera Black, Platinum Grey, Ink Blue, Pearl White, Cristal Pearl and Artense Grey. Features such as Active LED headlights, 19-inch ‘Roma’ alloy rims, front & rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, camera-based Active Scan Suspension, and laminated front & rear windscreens (for soundproofing) are also part of the limited edition.
Inside, the Ligne Noire offers two themes: Pearl Grey Leather or Basalt Black Leather, with seats, dashboard and door cards featuring a diamond pattern. A B.R.M R180 timepiece, and aluminium pedals and footrest round off the package.
The E-Tense 225 is a front-wheel-drive PHEV with a 180 hp 1.6L petrol engine and a 110 hp electric motor, offering a combined 225 hp and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. The E-Tense 300 AWD gets a 200 hp 1.6L petrol engine, a 110 hp front electric motor and an additional 113 hp rear electric motor, offering a combined 300 hp and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. Both variants claim a pure electric WLTP range of up to 55 km (34 mi) and 58 km (36 mi), respectively.
