What’s common between Abarth F595 and Chiron Super Sport?

After the 695 Esseesse, Abarth has revealed another new hot-hatch called F595, which apparently is a 50th-anniversary tribute to the Abarth SE 025 Formula Italia Formula 4 race car designed by Carlo Abarth. Prices in the UK start from £20,305 OTR.

Variant Base Price OTR
Hatchback 1.4 T-Jet Manual £15,807.50 £20,305
Hatchback 1.4 T-Jet AMT £16,932.50 £21,655
Convertible 1.4 T-Jet Manual £18,015.84 £22,955
Convertible 1.4 T-Jet AMT £19,140.84 £24,305

Visually, the F595 looks fairly understated with subtle Rally Blue highlights on the mirror caps and on the front and rear bumpers. Speaking of the rear bumper, you can’t miss those vertically-mounted twin exhaust pipes on either side of the diffuser insert. In fact, the hot-hatch boasts a new Record Monza Sovrapposto active exhaust system.

Rounding off the exterior looks are 17-inch black alloy wheels and an F595 badge on the tailgate. Buyers can choose from six exterior colors: Race White, Campovolo Grey, Track Grey, Scorpion Black, Record Grey and Tarmac Grey, which all can be combined with the aforementioned Rally Blue highlights.

The cabin features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather sports seats and matt black dashboard with a black frame for the infotainment display.

Let’s talk about the business-end then. The 1.4L T-Jet engine forms the basis for the propulsion unit in the Tatuus single-seaters used in the Italian and German Formula 4 championships. For the F595, the engine is blown by a Garrett turbo with a geometric compression ratio of 9:1, delivering 121 kW (165 metric hp) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque. The engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. With the manual, a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is claimed to take 7.3 seconds. The top speed is claimed to be 217 km/h (135 mph).
