The 3rd generation Nissan Note has got a premium variant named Note Aura in Japan, with sales expected to start in the empire in autumn. It gets a distinctive exterior styling and more power compared to the regular model. The Note Aura is available in both FWD and AWD variants:
Drive | Grade | Price (JPY) |
FWD | G | 2,610,300 |
FWD | G leather edition | 2,699,400 |
AWD | G Four | 2,868,800 |
AWD | G Four leather edition | 2,957,900 |
The regular model already borrowed its styling from the Ariya EV, but the Aura almost looks like a smaller version of it. The compact car rides on 17-inch lightweight aluminum wheels that feature gunmetal resin inserts not just for style, but also for aerodynamic reasons. The model offers 14 exterior color options, including Garnet Red with Super Black and Midnight Black with Sunrise Copper two-tone finishes.
Inside, the lower part of the dashboard and the center console features a wood-grain finish, while door trims, front armrests and the upper part of the dashboard are all finished in a tweed-like fabric. The Zero Gravity seats come in two variants: Herringbone patterned tweed-like fabric combined with synthetic leather or a high-quality genuine leather with specially designed pleating. Bose Personal Plus audio system is optional, where the speakers are also housed in the front passenger headrests. Noise dampening in the roof, doors, and front door glass are claimed to offer a high level of cabin quietness and comfort on the road.
As for the juicy bits, the e-Power series-hybrid powertrain offers a maximum system output of 100 kW (136 metric hp) and maximum system torque of 300 Nm (221 lb-ft), up by 20 metric hp and 20 Nm (15 lb-ft). As with the regular model, the AWD variant will have another motor at the rear with 50 KW (68 metric hp) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft). Download the spec sheet here (Japanese).
