It has been nearly 4 years since the Mercedes-AMG One (formerly Project One) made its official debut, but that’s how much time it takes to get an F1 engine to adapt for normal road use, apparently. While most of the planned 275 units will end up as garage queens (#facts), some might occasionally go to a local grocery store to buy a pint of milk. And so, at least for those few people, the F1 engine must behave as intended. As the hybrid hypercar nears its delivery dates, the engineers are working hard to fine-tune the car.
