[Update: The SUV has been named ‘Pulse’]
Fiat is launching a new compact crossover in Brazil but is unsure of what to name it. Which is why the company is asking the general public to pick a name from the following three options: Pulse, Domo and Tuo. Voting can be done here. The results will be revealed in the coming months and so will be the full SUV. In the meantime, the SUV will be referred to as Progetto Fiat 363, which simply translates to “Fiat 363 project” for us non-Italians.
The 363 looks handsome with a contemporary front fascia dominated by LED running light signatures, a large Fiat logo on the grille, and trapezoidal LED fog light housings. The dual-tone paint scheme adds a sporty look to the vehicle and so are the petal-shaped 5-twin-spoke wheels. At the rear, a spoiler seamlessly extends from the roof, and the taillights mimic the shape of the headlights. Also, notice the thick plastic cladding all around the vehicle including on the wheel arches, to reinforce its SUV credentials.
As for the juicy bits, the 363 is expected to be powered by a 1.0L turbocharged 3-cylinder flex-fuel (petrol/ethanol) engine. A naturally aspirated 1.3L flex-fuel engine is also expected.
