Remember the David Brown Mini Remastered? Well, the Silverstone-based boutique carmaker has revealed a special Oselli Edition which boasts a lot more power and oomph factor compared to the regular Mini Remastered. Only 60 bespoke units will be built and the pricing information will be available only to the applicants.

The Oselli Edition is not just for the track, but also for the road, says the company. Visually, it distinguishes itself from the regular model with unique paintwork, a sporty grille with LED lights, and of course, unique wheels. The number ‘60’ on the grille is a nod to the 60 years since the original Mini first rolled off the production line. As the pictures suggest, the Oselli Edition will be available in ‘Carbon Grey’ or ‘Old English White’ base colors, with stripes in ‘Competition Red’, ‘Royal Blue’ or ‘Heritage Green’, which all are hand-painted. The car rides on larger 13-inch wheels wrapped with high-speed-approved tyres.

Unlike the 1.27L engine in the regular Mini Remastered, the Oselli Edition packs a 1,450 cc engine with twin SU carburettors, developing 93 kW (126 metric hp) at 6,200 rpm and 153 Nm (113 lb-ft) of torque at 4,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. David Brown claims a 0-62 mph (97 km/h) sprint time of 7.8 seconds. Other key performance credentials include a limited-slip differential, Bilstein dampers, high-performance brakes by AP Racing (270 mm vented front discs), and of course, a free-flow sports exhaust system. For those who want an automatic version, David Brown will offer a 1.3L (1,380 cc) engine paired with a 4-speed gearbox.

The cabin can be specified with two or four seats, with the former featuring bucket seats with a four-point seatbelt, and a rear roll cage. There’s also an option to order the car with twin fuel tanks for extra range.

The Oselli Edition will be available in both right- and left-hand drive configurations. Deliveries are expected in early 2022. In the meantime, enjoy some more photos below.
