Citroen realized that its Ami electric quadricycle can be a cute delivery vehicle as well, delivering not just cargo but also some cuteness wherever it goes. In France, the My Ami Cargo is available either to purchase outright at a starting price of €6,490 (including taxes and €900 bonus deducted) or on a monthly rental as part of a long-term lease agreement starting at €24.18 a month.
As you can see, the passenger seat has been yanked off, and substituting it is a box sort of a contraption to keep things secure. The lid has a cut-out to accommodate delivery forms and a tablet; the lid itself is claimed to bear 40 kg (88 lbs) of load. Notice that dotted area on the raised part of the box? Well, that’s a door for a small storage cubby. The total loading volume and payload capacity of the passenger area are claimed to be 400 litres and 140 kg (309 lbs), respectively.
Mechanically, the My Ami Cargo remains the same, obviously. It is powered by a 6 kW (8.15 metric hp) electric motor that draws juice from a 5.5 kWh battery pack that claims to offer a range of up to 75 km (47 mi). It boasts a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph). Charging via a conventional 220-volt socket takes 3 hours to get juiced up.
