In the first three months of 2021, Porsche handed over 71,986 vehicles to customers worldwide — a significant 36% growth over the previous year. China continues to be Porsche’s largest single market with 56% growth over 2020.
The sales were led by the Macan with 22,458 units, followed by the Cayenne with 19,533 units and 911 models with 9,133 units delivered. The all-electric Taycan models found 9,072 new customers. The 718 Boxster and Cayman accounted for 6,190 units. The Panamera was handed over to 5,600 customers.
The Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East also showed strong growth of 46%, followed by the United States with 45% growth over the previous year.
Established models have supported this excellent result along with the latest additions to our product range, above all the new model variants of the all-electric Taycan. Thanks to the great appeal of our brand and a consistent sustainability strategy, we can look back on a very positive start to the year. – Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche
