Bentley’s Mulliner division has created a special Continental GT Equinox Edition, exclusive to the Japanese market. It gets some exterior and interior enhancements over the regular V8 model.
Speaking of which, the exterior of the car can be finished in Onyx (black) or Glacier White paint, complemented with high gloss carbon fibre elements such as the front splitter, side skirts, boot lid spoiler, and the rear diffuser insert. Notice a Moonbeam (silver) contrast pinstripe on the edge of these carbon fibre pieces. Rounding off the exterior looks are 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification wheels, finished in dark metallic Tungsten paint.
The cabin too has been matched with the exterior colors, such as silver accent hide complementing the Beluga main hide; silver contrast stitching on the seats and door cards; and dual finish veneers with Piano Moonbeam over Grand Black. The embroidered Bentley wings logo on the headrests is also in silver.
As mentioned, the Continental GT Equinox Edition is powered by a V8 and not a W12. The 4.0L twin-turbo V8 pumps out 405 kW (550 metric hp) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. An 8-speed Porsche PDK drives all four wheels. Bentley claims a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 318 km/h (198 mph).
The Continental GT Equinox Edition will be a limited edition, but Bentley didn’t disclose how many are being built.
