Lexus is offering a special Launch Edition of the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance, exclusive to North America and limited to 500 units. The Launch Edition carries over all the features of the IS 500 F Sport Performance and features some visual differences.
Speaking of which, the exterior is finished in an exclusive paint called ‘Incognito’, which is sort of a light grey shade. Complementing that paint are 19-inch matt black BBS wheels, which are claimed to weigh approximately 1.8 kg (4 lbs) less (each) compared to the standard 19-inch IS F Sport wheels.
The cabin features a unique Black & Grey Ultrasuede trimmed front and rear seats, door accents, and center console. In addition, the heated leather-wrapped steering wheel receives a silver ash wood garnish with a black F Sport Performance badging. Also, notice a special Launch Edition plaque on the centre console.
As with the IS 500 F Sport Performance, the Launch Edition is powered by a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine that pumps out 352 kW (479 metric hp) and 535 Nm (395 lb-ft) of torque. The gearbox is an 8-speed automatic.
Other standard features include Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), Yamaha rear performance dampers, Torsen limited slip differential (LSD), and large brake rotors measuring 14.0-inch at the front and 12.7-inch at the rear.
