GMC has revealed the 2022 Terrain lineup with the first-ever AT4 variant. The SLE, SLT and AT4 variants will go on sale in the U.S. market in summer 2021, followed by the Denali variant in fall 2021.
The styling revisions are subtle compared to the outgoing (2021) model, including redesigned LED headlights, taillights, front grille, new 18- and 19-inch wheel designs, and new exterior color options. The off-road-flavored AT4 variant looks sporty with blacked-out elements such as the grille, mirror caps and wheels.
Inside, the dashboard design looks almost identical to the outgoing model. Feature list includes an 8-inch MID (standard on Denali), 8-inch central infotainment display, standard Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, and built-in Alexa capabilities. A Head-Up Display is also standard on Denali and is available on SLT and AT4 trims. ADAS includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Forward Collision Alert.
The 2022 Terrain carries over the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 127 kW (173 metric hp) and 275 Nm (203 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
