Aprilia has updated its SX 125 and RX 125 motorcycles with new liveries and Euro 5-compliant engines. While both are intended for off-roading adventures, the SX is more inclined towards street use, in case you’re wondering.
Both motorcycles are available in Rally Tribute, Red Raceway and Silver Speedway color schemes. The SX 125 rides on smaller 17-inch wheels shod with sports tyres, while the RX 125 wheels measure 21-inch at the front and 18-inch at the rear, wrapped with knobby tyres. Also, notice that RX has wave discs, measuring 260 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear. The SX gets a larger 300 mm front disc.
The SX also gets the Bosch ABS system with anti roll-over function. Suspension duties on both motorcycles are handled by a 41 mm upside-down fork at the front with 240 mm travel, and a monoshock at the rear with 210 mm travel.
Both motorcycles are powered by a 124.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine that develops 11 kW (15 metric hp) at 10,000 rpm and 11.2 Nm (8.3 lb-ft) of torque at 8,000 rpm; the figures remain unchanged. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Download the information sheet here.
