New Tata Safari launched at Rs 14.69 lakh

Tata Motors has announced the prices of the new Safari, which starts at INR 14.69 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The list of trims now includes the ‘Adventure Persona’, which was not revealed during the SUV’s debut in January.

Some of the key exterior features include Xenon projector headlights, LED running lights, rain-sensing wipers, panoramic sunroof, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Adventure Persona attempts to look sporty with Piano Black grille, roof rails, door handles and the Safari badges. It also gets Charcoal Grey 18-inch alloy wheels. Also, notice that the fake exhaust inserts have been darkened, which looks better. This variant is painted in a special Tropical Mist exterior color.

Inside, the Adventure Persona gets Dark Chrome and Piano Black accents and Earthy Brown Benecke Kaliko upholstery. The rest of the features would include an 8.8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, iRA connected car tech, 9-speaker JBL audio system, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, tilt & telescopic steering, 7-inch MID, auto AC, cruise control and more. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Hold Control, Traction Control, Roll Over Mitigation, disc brakes at all four corners, and rear parking sensors. Powering the Safari is the same Fiat-sourced diesel engine that powers the Harrier. The 2.0-litre (1,956 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged unit develops 125 kW (170 metric hp) at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque between 1,750-2,500 rpm.
