Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the Fortuner facelift and a more sporty looking Fortuner Legender in the country. Prices start at INR 29.98 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Variant-wise ex-Delhi prices below –

The Fortuner facelift and the Legender made their global debut in Thailand in June 2020. As we can see from the list above, the Legender is available only in a single variant.

Exterior features include LED headlights, LED front fog lights, LED rear combination lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Besides sporty bumpers, the Legender gets quad LED design for the headlights; sequential turn signals; and a black-painted roof. The alloy wheel design on the Legender is slightly different as well.

Inside, the Legender features a dual-tone theme with a contrast Maroon stitching throughout. Depending on the variant, features include an 8-inch touchscreen; Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity; connected car tech for geofencing and real-time vehicle tracking; tilt & telescopic steering column, power-adjustable front seats, auto AC, and 11-speaker JBL audio system.
Other notable features include a wireless smartphone charger, cooled glovebox, and kick sensor for tailgate opening. Assistance systems include cruise control and front and rear parking sensors. Download the brochure here.

Powertrains
The diesel engine is a 2.75-litre (2,755 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged unit that develops 150 kW (204 metric hp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque when paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. With a 6-speed automatic, the torque output is 500 Nm (369 lb-ft), a significant increase over the manual.
As for the petrol engine, it’s a 2.7-litre (2,694 cc) 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit that develops 122 kW (166 metric hp) and 245 Nm (181 lb-ft) of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic.
The 4WD variants get Electronic Differential Lock and Downhill Assist Control functions. As we saw in the aforementioned list, the Legender is available only as RWD.
