Mini has launched the Paddy Hopkirk Edition in India, priced at INR 41,70,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. The special edition Cooper S 3-Door Hatch is limited to 15 units and can be ordered exclusively at shop.mini.in.
Named after the former Irish rally driver Paddy Hopkirk, the special edition car pays homage to 30-year-old Paddy’s victory in the classic Mini Cooper S No. 37 at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964. The car is finished in Chilli Red with Aspen White roof and Black mirror caps. Besides his signatures, there’s a subtle 33EJB embossing on the bonnet stripe, which was his license plate number.
In addition, exterior elements such as the grille frame, Mini emblem, bonnet scoop, door handles, fuel filler cap and waistline finishers, are all finished in Piano Black. The 16-inch light-alloy wheels are also finished in Black.
Inside, you’ll find more signatures, John Cooper Works steering wheel, Carbon Black leatherette upholstery, and ambient lighting.
No mechanical changes. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine develops 141 kW (192 metric hp) and 280 Nm (206.5 lb-ft) of torque. A 7-speed DCT sends power to the front wheels.
