As announced in July 2020, the FCA-PSA merger is now complete following regulatory approvals. The Stellantis is now the fourth-largest carmaker in the world after Toyota, Volkswagen Group, and the Renault-Mitsubishi-Nissan Alliance.
With that, a total of 14 main brands will fall under the new umbrella — Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroen, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, and Vauxhall.
Stellantis’ common shares will begin trading on Euronext in Paris and on the Mercato Telematico Azionario in Milan on Monday, January 18, 2021, and on the New York Stock Exchange as well on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in each case under the ticker symbol ‘STLA’.
The name ‘Stellantis’ still sounds like some pharma or a fertilizer company rather than automotive related. It might take more time than usual to grow on people.
