MG Motor India announced retail sales of 4,010 vehicles in December 2020, registering a growth of nearly 33% compared to 3,021 units sold in December 2019. Of 4,010 vehicles, the Hector accounted for 3,430 units. The company also said that it closed the year on a strong note, gathering 5,000 Hector and 200 ZS EV bookings in December.
MG India recorded a 77% growth in total sales last year compared to 2019. The company continues to ramp up the production of the Gloster and hopes to stabilize it by March 2021. It has received 3,000 bookings and retailed 1,085 units of the SUV in two months. It has retailed over 25,000 units of the Hector in the calendar year 2020, and 1,243 units of ZS EV.
