[Update: Jeep Compass facelift launched at Rs 16.99 lakh]
Gets a brand new dashboard
The Jeep Compass tasted an unprecedented success in India when it was launched back in 2017, thanks to a compelling price tag and a solid road presence. Sadly, it was pushed to darkness by newcomers like Seltos and Hector; it is almost as if the people here have almost forgotten that the crossover is still on sale. Which is why Jeep has refreshed the Compass for the market.
So, what is new then? Well, the Compass already looked pretty good, so the designers have played it safe by doing some minor tweaks. There’s a revised front bumper, full-LED projector headlights, and new 18-inch alloy wheels. Expect some new dual-tone paint schemes as well.
The refreshed cabin features a brand new dashboard with a new steering wheel, a new 10.2-inch digital driver display, a new Uconnect central touchscreen, and of course, discreet air vents. Other features would include 8-way adjustable front seats with memory and ventilation; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity; wireless smartphone charging; a dual-pane panoramic sunroof; and a 360-degree camera system.
Also, Jeep claims to have equipped the Compass with 60+ safety features.
No mechanical changes are expected. The Compass facelift powertrain options will be the 1.4L Multiair petrol engine paired with 6-MT or 7-speed DCT, and 2.0L Multijet II diesel engine paired with 6-MT or a 9-speed automatic. The 4WD models get Selec-Terrain system.
