Spanish brand SEAT has revealed the PHEV version of the Tarraco crossover, scheduled to go on sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2021. The Tarraco e-Hybrid is the brand’s 3rd electrified model, following the Mii electric (VW e-up!) and Leon e-Hybrid. The el-Born and Cupra el-Born hatchbacks are expected to join in 2021.

Anyway, the Tarraco e-Hybrid doesn’t look any different compared to the regular Tarraco, except for that tiny e-Hybrid badge on the tailgate and a charging port on the front left fender. It’ll be available as a 5-seater version, in Xcellence and FR trims.

The powertrain is a combination of a 150 hp 1.4L 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine, a 116 hp electric motor and a 6-speed DSG gearbox. The combined output is claimed to be 180 kW (245 metric hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The SUV is claimed to do a top speed of 205 km/h (127 mph), for those interested to know.

The 13 kWh battery pack is claimed to offer a pure electric range of up to 49 km (31 mi) as per WLTP and up to 58 km (37 mi) as per NEDC. Seat claims that the battery pack can be replenished in as little as 3 and a half hours via a 3.6 kW charger (Wallbox), or little less than 5 hours via a 2.3 kW charger.
