The second generation Renault Duster made its global debut over 3 years ago but never made it to the Indian market. It’s still the first generation facelift that is on sale in the country. It has been the same story for the Russian market as well, but, the country will soon be getting the second generation model and here are a couple of pictures.
The Russian Duster sports a bit more “tough looks” compared to the European model, thanks to those plastic wheel arch cladding, door cladding and lower body cladding or mouldings or whatever you wanna call them. Those 16-inch black wheels look pretty cool too, especially in combination with the Atacama Orange paint of the car in this example. The wheels are shod with what appears to be off-road tyres.
The first gen Duster in Russia is offered with multiple powertrains: a 114 hp 1.6L petrol with 5-MT or 6-MT (FWD or AWD); 143 hp 2.0L petrol (AWD) with 4-AT or 6-MT; and a 109 hp 1.5L diesel (AWD) with 6-MT. Renault might carry forward some of these to the new one.
