The Lamborghini Jarama celebrated its 50th Anniversary recently. Designed by Marcello Gandini, it was one of the “normal” looking Lamborghinis compared to Gandini’s next creations such as the Miura, Countach, and of course, the Diablo. There were two variants: Jarama (1970-1973) and Jarama S (1972-1976), with 176 and 152 units produced in total, respectively.
The grand tourer was powered by a 3.9-litre (3,929 cc) V12 engine that developed 260 kW (353 metric hp), and was paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox that drove the rear wheels. It boasted a top speed of 260 km/h (161 mph). The Jarama S offered 272 kW (370 metric hp) and an option of a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Check out more photos below.
