Chinese luxury marque Hongqi has published official technical information on the E-HS9 electric SUV that debuted at the Auto China 2020 in Beijing. Also, check out more pictures that showcase the crossover’s luxurious cabin.
The E-HS9 will be available in two variants. The base variant will have a 160 kW (218 hp) electric motor on each axle, which brings the total to 320 kW (435 hp). It’ll be juiced by an 84 kWh battery pack, claimed to offer a range of ≥ 460 km (285 mi) as per NEDC. In the top variant, the front and rear electric motors are rated at 160 kW and 245 kW (333 hp), respectively, bringing the total to 405 kW (551 hp). The 99 kWh battery pack in this variant is claimed to offer an NEDC range of ≥ 510 km (316 mi).
The torque output in the base variant is 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) while the higher variant will offer a combined 750 Nm (553 lb-ft).
The luxurious cabin is full of displays; the ones integrated into the front seat backrests look pretty cool. The E-HS9’s feature list includes AR-HUD and Level 4 automated parking. For driver assistance and active safety systems, the SUV is equipped with a total of 26 sensors and V2X communication technology.
