BMW has launched the ‘Black Shadow’ edition of the 2 Series Gran Coupé in India, priced at INR 42,30,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. As the name suggests, the car gets drenched in black with M Sport elements.
The parts include high-gloss black mesh-style M front grille, black exterior mirror caps, M Performance rear spoiler in high-gloss black, black-chrome tailpipe finishers, and 18-inch M Performance Y-Spoke forged wheels in Jet Black Matt. The wheels feature a floating hub cap with BMW logo which remains leveled at all times. According to BMW, the special edition gets parts worth INR 2,50,000.
The cabin features Sport Seats with memory function, ambient lighting with 6 dimmable levels, and all the creature comforts that are offered on the 2 Series Gran Coupé including the Live Cockpit Professional.
No mechanical changes, obviously. The 220d M Sport Black Shadow edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre (1,995 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that develops 190 hp (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox drives the front wheels.
