Bentley’s Mulliner division has customized the Flying Spur for a “world famous celebrity”. The one-off car is christened ‘Reindeer Eight’. However, we don’t have any information on this celebrity at the moment; let’s just assume that he doesn’t actually live in the North Pole.
Anyway, the exterior is finished in a deep red ‘Cricket Bauble’ paint, a bespoke shade inspired by a cricket ball, which is available as one of the 62 shades offered by the Extended Range palette. At the front, a 3D-printed reindeer replaces the Flying B mascot, while on the side, the V8 badge has been replaced with a special ‘Reindeer Eight’ badge.
The snow peaks graphics look rather cheesy, but I guess it is an essential element of the Santa theme. There are hand-painted gold fine lines as well. Rounding off the exterior looks are 22-inch golden wheels.
In the cabin, the Grand Black veneer on the dashboard and door cards showcases a North Pole winter night scene. The matching monotone Cricket Bauble leather features gold cross-stitch highlights. In fact, the customer’s name has been stitched into the driver’s seat and that of his wife alongside. Also, a welcome sound of sleigh bells jingling plays when the start button is pressed, followed by the Bentley Rotating Display revealing a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The display features a ‘Naughty’ and ‘Nice’ list, integrated into the navigation system, which apparently lets him know whether his fans have been bad or good.
No mechanical changes; the 4.0L V8 twin-turbo petrol engine pumps out the same 550 metric hp.
