The updated Jaguar F-Pace lineup is now joined by the F-Pace SVR, with prices starting from £77,595 OTR in the UK. The SVR benefits from all the styling and tech updates made on the regular F-Pace.
Speaking of the styling, the SVR looks a touch more sporty with its revised front bumper with large intakes; new 22-inch forged alloy wheels finished in Gloss Narvik Black with Satin Grey inserts; and revised rear bumper with quad tailpipes. The bonnet vents and front fender outlets have been retained. Jaguar says that the new SVR’s improved aerodynamics decreases lift by 35% and drag co-efficient by 3%.
As mentioned, the cabin benefits from the updates made on the regular F-Pace, such as the Pivi Pro infotainment system (11.4-inch touchscreen), a 12.3-inch driver display, wireless smartphone charging, PM2.5 filtration and so on. Distinguishing factors include SVR-branded steering wheel and drive selector, and lightweight seats with Alcantara inserts. However, the one featured here is equipped with the optional semi-aniline leather sports seats with diamond embroidery across the front shoulder section and an embossed SVR logo on the headrests.
Jaguar says that the steering wheel rack is new with a revised calibration unique to SVR. The dampers have been re-tuned as well to “deliver a more connected driving experience with enhanced ride refinement”.
Moving on to the business end of the story, the 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged petrol engine pumps out the same 405 kW (550 metric hp) as before, but the torque is up by 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) to 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). As a result, a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is claimed to happen in 4.0 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds quicker than the outgoing model. The official top speed is now 286 km/h (178 mph), which is an increase of 3 km/h or 2 mph.
Jaguar claims to have re-tuned the rear Electronic Active Differential as well.
