Nissan has revealed the Navara facelift that includes a PRO-4X trim with sporty looks. The pickup will go on sale in December 2020 in Thailand, with other markets to follow later.
The styling has been sharpened-up with new headlights, a larger grille with honeycomb pattern, a revised front bumper with a more robust-looking skid plate, a new set of wheels, and at the rear, a new taillight signature. The PRO-4X trim gets black styling elements including the 17-inch wheels, and orange accents.
The pickup has been updated with onboard technology including Intelligent Around View Monitor, Off-Road Monitor, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, and Intelligent Emergency Braking.
The new model features a strengthened rear axle, increased payload capacity, additional truck bed volume and a new integrated step in the rear bumper for easier access to the truck bed. A new steering rack has been adopted to enhance maneuverability at low speeds and steering response across the speed range, Nissan said.
Nissan doesn’t appear to have made any changes to the powertrains. It’ll most likely continue to offer the 163 hp 2.5L turbo diesel with 6-MT or 7-AT, and 190 hp 2.5L turbo diesel with 7-AT & 4WD options in Thailand. In the U.S. market, the pickup might go on sale as Frontier with a 3.8L V6 gasoline engine.
