The new SQ5 TDI which joined the Audi Q5 facelift lineup earlier this month, has now got the Sportback sibling. It has got the exact same specifications as the SQ5 TDI, except for a bit less rear headroom.
The front fascia is identical to the SQ5, and when you move towards the rear, things become fairly obvious. The tailgate has a more pronounced crease in the middle — sort of an upswept, integrated spoiler. The wheels are of a different design as well, but I think the ones on the Q5 Sportback look a lot more sporty. However, you do have options ranging between 18- to 21-inches.
As mentioned, the rest of the things are exactly the same, including the powertrain. A 3.0-litre V6 TDI is combined with an electric compressor, for an output of 251 kW (341 metric hp) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox drives all four wheels.
Goes on sale in the first half of 2021 depending on the market.
