Tata Motors has revealed the Signa 4825.TK, which is claimed to be India’s largest tipper truck (dump truck). The truck has a gross vehicle weight of 47.5-tonne – the highest in the country for the segment.
The Signa 4825.TK is powered by Cummins ISB 6.7-litre straight-six diesel engine that develops 253 hp (186 kW) and 950 Nm (700 lb-ft) of torque. Gearbox is a 9-speed automatic with 430 mm dia organic clutch. There are 3 driving modes on offer: Light, Medium and Heavy. Buyers can pick either 10×4 or 10×2 configuration as per their requirements.
Other features of the truck include a 3-way mechanically-adjustable driver seat, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and an electronic system with sensors to detect and prevent toppling while tipping.
