Remember when Sony surprised the world earlier this year with the stunning Vision-S electric fastback sedan concept? Well, the prototype has arrived in Tokyo for further development. The tech giant doesn’t intend to enter into EV making business at the moment but rather wants to become a supplier of its sensing and audio technologies to the automotive industry.
The official statement says that the “prototype has arrived in Tokyo for advancing our sensing and audio technologies”. The statement further adds that the “vehicle is also currently under development for public road testing this fiscal year,” confirming what was announced in January.
The Vision-S was developed in association with industry-leading partners such as NVIDIA and Magna Steyr. Read more about the Vision-S here.
