For the 4th generation Harrier, Toyota had set a monthly sales target of 3,100 units. Apparently, the Japanese people are so impressed with the new crossover that the orders have reached 45,000, which is over 14 times more than the target. Due to this, the deliveries could take more than 5 months.
Prices in Japan range between 2,990,000 yen to 5,040,000 yen (US$ 27,855 to US$ 46,952); the prices include consumption tax. The new Harrier will be available in petrol and petrol-electric hybrid powertrains, both offer FWD and AWD options. In the hybrid, the AWD with two electric motors is called ‘E-Four’. In the U.S. market, the Harrier is sold as Venza.
