The 992 generation 911 Targa, which debuted just a few days ago, has now received a special edition model with a nostalgic theme and gold badges. While the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition will be limited to 992 units, few selected interior elements will be available as part of the Heritage Design package for all current 911 models.
The exterior of this special edition is finished in an exclusive Cherry Metallic paintwork, complemented with gold logos and a retro livery in white. There’ll also be four more exterior colors to choose from. The spear-shaped graphic on the front wings/fenders recall the early days of Porsche competition history.
In addition, the rear of the car gets a Porsche Heritage badge on the grille, which is reminiscent of the one that was awarded back in the day when a Porsche 356 reached the 100,000 km mark.
A 1963 Porsche Crest on the bonnet, steering wheel, wheel centres and vehicle key add subtle and classy touches to the special edition.
Rounding off the exterior looks are the standard 20/21-inch Carrera Exclusive Design wheels with black calipers.
The interior of this Heritage Design is a combination of Bordeaux Red leather with OLEA club leather in Atacama Beige or Black leather with OLEA club leather in Atacama Beige.
The other materials used inside include corduroy on the seats and door trims; the same material used in the Porsche 356.
Other subtle touches include green-illuminated rev counter and stopwatch. There’ll also be a badge on the passenger side of the dashboard with the limited edition number.
Mechanically, the special edition continues to be the regular Targa 4S AWD with 3.0L flat-six that develops 450 hp, and is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK).
Porsche is also offering a special timepiece exclusively for the owners of this car. The design and materials used matches that of the car. The watch face with its white second hand and Phosphorus Green rings, for example, is inspired by the car’s instrument cluster. The watch’s strap is made of genuine Porsche interior leather.
