For those who find the regular 8 Series models to be not so special, BMW is offering the Golden Thunder Edition, available for the 8 Series Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe models.
The exterior will be finished in Sapphire Black metallic or Frozen Black metallic, complemented with gold color accents. The dark look is combined with BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line and black brake calipers for the M sports brake system.

Gold colored mirror caps, M rear spoiler (exclusive for the 8 Series Coupe) and 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design round off the exterior look.

Inside, the special edition features BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery in black with “Edition Golden Thunder” embroidered on the front headrests; BMW Individual Alcantara Anthracite roof liner (for Coupe and Gran Coupe), and accents in Aluminium Mesh Effect Gold.
The edition models also feature Crafted Clarity glass applications for selected controls and the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System.
Production will begin in September 2020. The M sports package is included as standard in these editions.
