The Skoda Karoq might have gotten old already, but for various reasons, it never came to India except for what appeared to be testing purposes in 2017. Just to remind, the SUV made its global debut in Sweden almost 3 years ago as a replacement to the Yeti.
Now though, it’s time for the Karoq to grace the Skoda showrooms in the country and of course, the roads. The Karoq is available only in a single ‘Style’ variant in India, priced at Rs 24,99,000, ex-showroom.
Features in India include full-LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, Adaptive Front light System (AFS), LED taillights, panoramic electric sunroof with bounce-back system, and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Features inside include a Virtual Cockpit (digital instrument cluster), an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker audio system, 12-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 2-zone climate control, and cruise control.
Safety features include 9 airbags, ESC, front & rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, front LED fog lights with cornering function, rear fog lights, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
Powering the Karoq in India is a 1.5-litre (1,498 cc) 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 110 kW (150 hp) between 5000-6000 rpm and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque between 1500-3500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox that drives the front wheels. Download the Karoq brochure here. More pictures here.
