Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) will start the production of the new i30 on May 25th, i.e., Monday. The updated i30 range made its debut in late February 2020, with new design, added technology and of course, a new 48-volt mild-hybrid option.
The i30 has consistently been one of our most popular cars in Europe. It is truly made for Europe in Europe, starting from the design and development to the final assembly. HMMC employs ~3,300 people and has a capacity for up to 1,500 cars per day or more than 300,000 per year. Last year, the plant celebrated the production of its 3 millionth car – the i30 N. In addition to the i30 hatchback, fastback and wagon, the plant also produces the Kona Electric and Tucson. HMMC exports to more than 70 countries.
