MG Motor India has modified one of its Hector SUVs into an ambulance and donated it to healthcare authorities in Vadodara, Gujarat – the state where MG’s local manufacturing facility exists. The conversion was completed in 10 days by MG India’s engineering team at Halol, in partnership with Ahmedabad-based Natraj Motor Body Builders.

The Hector ambulance is equipped with an auto-loading stretcher, oxygen system with cylinder, jump seat for an attendant, a fire extinguisher, medicine cabinet with 5-parameter monitor, inverter with battery and sockets, and of course, top light bar with siren and amplifier.

While the ambulance is fine, what really needs to be appreciated is the subtle way of marketing the Hector’s interior space. MG India surely knows how to be in the news. Earlier in April 2020, the company supplied 100 Hectors across the country for COVID-19 response.
