British motorcycle brand Triumph has revealed the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition to celebrate the partnership in the forthcoming 25th James Bond Film, No Time To Die. Limited to 250 units globally, the special edition features unique styling touches.
The Bond Edition is based on the range-topping Scrambler 1200 XE. It gets blacked-out finishes such as black anodized rear and front mudguard; black forks; engine badges with gold accents; black powder-coated swingarm and sprocket cover; and anodized grab rail, sump guard and infills.
Other detailing includes stainless steel headlight grille, fog lights with black anodized shrouds, machined front brake reservoir, Arrow silencer with carbon fibre end caps, and black rear wheel adjusters.
In addition, the TFT instrument gets a unique 007 startup screen. Other features include heated grips; illuminated backlit switches; 6 riding modes including ‘Off-Road Pro’; Cornering ABS and Traction Control; Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU); cruise control; and torque assist clutch.
The motorcycle is powered by a 1,200 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, producing 66.2 kW (90 hp) at 7,400 rpm and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of torque at 3,950 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Every Bond Edition owner will also receive a special tailor-made handover pack unique to their bike, featuring a numbered letter hand-signed by Triumph’s CEO Nick Bloor, and a premium rucksack.
Front suspension is a Showa 47 mm fully adjustable upside down cartridge forks while the rear is Öhlins fully adjustable piggyback RSU’s with twin springs. Braking duties are handled by 320 mm discs at the front and a single 255 mm disc at the rear.
For the movie, Triumph provided customized motorcycles including Tiger 900 and Scrambler 1200 models for action sequences.
