Wuling, GM’s partner in China, has revealed its first all-electric vehicle, inspired by the popular kei car segment in Japan. The tiny hatchback has got two doors and four seats, where the bench-style rear seat can be folded flat to create more cargo space – more than 0.74 cubic meters (740 litres) according to Wuling.
Nothing much can be said about its styling, although the boxy front fascia appears to be inspired by the pickup trucks/SUVs. In fact, the entire vehicle looks boxy, most likely for practicality reasons, to free up more space inside.
The interiors have been kept very minimal. The dashboard has a two-step design, where the upper part houses air vents. The lower section has knobs to control air conditioning, and there’s also an integrated audio system. The window controls and the CRND knob is on the centre console. Notice that the ‘P’ has been replaced with a charging icon.
The EV measures 2,917 mm in length, 1,493 mm in width and 1,621 mm in height. Wuling is yet to reveal more details about the vehicle, including its name.
