Maruti Suzuki has launched a refreshed Dzire with prices starting at Rs 5.89 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Variant wise ex-Delhi prices below –
Variant | Price |
LXi | Rs 5,89,000 |
VXi | Rs 6,79,000 |
VXi AGS (automatic) | Rs 7,31,500 |
ZXi | Rs 7,48,000 |
ZXi AGS (automatic) | Rs 8,00,500 |
ZXi+ | Rs 8,28,000 |
ZXi+ AGS (automatic) | Rs 8,80,500 |
As the above list would suggest, there won’t be any diesel variants at launch, due to the fact that the Fiat-sourced 1.3L Multijet production ended in India in January 2020.
The styling updates appear to be literally a “facelift”, with an enlarged hexagonal front grille. The fog lamp housings now appear to be a bit larger with a thick chrome accent. The rest of the styling including the 15-inch alloy wheel design remains unchanged. While I do like the new front grille, I prefer the front fascia of the outgoing model.
Features include LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, ORVM-integrated turn signals, Smartplay Studio infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, auto AC, rear AC vents, and cruise control.
Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD & Brake Assist, front fog lamps, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and rear defogger. The automatic variants get ESP with Hill-Hold Assist. Download the Dzire facelift brochure here.
The updated Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre (1,197 cc) 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 66 kW (90 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
