Volvo Cars has announced that its Belgium plant will remain closed until April 5, while the Swedish and U.S. plants will be closed between March 26 and April 14, 2020. In addition, the working hours will be reduced for those who’ve been asked to work from home.
The Geely-owned company also said that its four manufacturing plants in China have been reopened after an extended closure period. Apparently, the people are coming to the showrooms, indicating a “return to normal” in China’s car market.
The Volvo Cars manufacturing plants currently impacted by the pandemic are located in Torslanda, Skövde and Olofström (all Sweden), Ghent (Belgium) and South Carolina (United States).
