As the global coronavirus pandemic spreads to the United States with over 9,200 cases (at the time of publishing this story), Nissan announced that it will temporarily suspend production in its manufacturing facilities in the country starting March 20 through April 6, 2020.
This is, of course, a precautionary measure and currently, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at any Nissan facility. Areas deemed business-essential will operate with enhanced safety measures, the company said.
