Tata Motors seems to have silently updated the ‘Revotron’ petrol engine in the Nexon to produce a bit more power. It is unclear whether this update was supposed to be revealed when the Nexon facelift was launched in January 2020 and the marketing team forgot, or, was this a recent update.
Either way, the Nexon brochure now mentions that the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 120 hp at 5,500 rpm, which is 10 hp more than the previous tune. The 170 Nm of torque between 1,750 – 4,000 rpm remains the same. There’s no change in the outputs from the ‘Revotorq’ diesel engine.
