Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC), the home of NSX, is offering the 2020 MDX PMC Edition, priced at $63,745 (including $1,995 destination and handling).
Limited to 330 units (300 for U.S. market, 30 for Canada), the special MDX is apparently hand-assembled by the same technicians who build the NSX. Exterior highlights include PMC-exclusive Valencia Red Pearl nano-pigment paint, gloss-black 20-inch split-10-spoke wheels with black lug nuts, dual 4-inch black chrome exhaust finishers, and gloss-black treatment also for the grille, roof, exterior mirrors and door handles.
Interiors get premium black Milano leather seats with Alcantara inserts, black piping and red stitching; leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching; metal-finished paddle shifters; red stitched door panels, center console, headrests and front center armrest; and premium floor mats with metal A-Spec badging.
Additional features include Jewel-Eye LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats, heated steering wheel, second row captain’s chairs and second-row sunshades, Active Damper System, 10-speaker Acura ELS Studio premium audio system, GPS-Linked Climate Control, and AcuraWatch suite of safety and driver assistive technologies.
There seems to be no power bump. The MDX PMC Edition is powered by a 3.5-litre i-VTEC V6 gasoline engine, producing 290 hp and 267 lb-ft (362 Nm) of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and torque-vectoring Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system.
