MG Motor India has delivered the first unit of ZS EV to state-owned Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL). The electric SUV was launched in the country on 23rd Jan 2020.
As with the Tata Tigor EVs and Mahindra e-Verito EVs that were purchased by EESL previously, the ZS EV will be used by the government officials.
MG India said that the company is setting up a 5-step charging ecosystem. In addition to installing AC fast charger at homes/offices of its customers, MG is setting up a DC fast-charging network at select MG showrooms that can be availed 24×7 and plans to create an extended charging network across MG dealerships in select satellite towns along key routes, in addition to providing charge-on-the-go with RSA (roadside assistance).
The carmaker also claimed to have secured an overwhelming response for the ZS EV, with over 2,800 bookings in 27 days.
