The first thing I want to tell you is that this is designed by the Italians. After the Italdesign Giugiaro came under the VW umbrella, designers Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio Giugiaro started GFG Style in 2015.
Their latest creation is this ‘2030’, a 2 door, 2 seat AWD all-electric coupe which they classify as “Hyper SUV”. It is intended for Saudi Arabia and the name apparently comes from the Kingdom’s ‘vision2030’ project of less oil, more industry and more space for foreigners in the tourism sector.
As for the car itself, the concept of a supercar going everywhere, on all terrains is not something new. The aftermarket or modification industry has already tried it, and even Lamborghini showcased the Huracán Sterrato, an off-road supercar concept.
The way the doors open is similar to the Kangaroo Hyper SUV concept GFG created earlier in 2019. As for the mirrored green and carbon black colors, they come from the Saudi Arabian flag.
The interior bits and the displays too are similar to the Kangaroo concept. Notice the green accents on the interiors as well. No details on its motors or battery or any other technical stuff, but it apparently can go 365 km (230 miles). Its top speed is claimed to be 200 km/h on any terrain and a 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds. Below is a video by Supercar Blondie taking a spin in it. Skip to 6:30-ish.
The car will be officially showcased at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show.
