Ever since Stephan Winkelmann took office as the President of Bugatti, the brand has been in the news a lot more than it otherwise would. Not that there are a lot of people who can afford Bugattis, but there have been new derivatives and special editions.
The latest one is the Bugatti Chiron Noire, inspired by the one-off La Voiture Noire. “The Black Car” has apparently generated a lot of interest that Bugatti is offering two versions of Chiron Noire: Chiron Noire Sportive and Chiron Noire Élégance. Both versions sport an exposed carbon fibre body with the former in a matt finish. The grille has a new pattern with the Bugatti Macaron emblem at the top made of silver.
There are new Caractère wheels too, and the calipers are finished in black. The C-shaped Bugatti signature line with matt polished aluminium finish adds the contrast. The rear-view mirrors and the engine cover are finished in black carbon and polished aluminium. The “Noire” inscription adorns the side panels and the underside of the rear wing.
The exterior trim elements in the Chiron Noire Sportive are all in matt black. The four tailpipes of the titanium exhaust system are likewise finished in black, as are parts of the engine cover.
The interiors of both variants are also dominated by black. The “Noire” inscription appears on the door sills and on the outside of the centre console, as well as being sewn into the headrests. The iconic 8.0-litre 16-cylinder engine with 1,103 kW (1,500 hp) and 1,600 Nm of torque continues to power the Chiron.
These special edition models are limited to 20 units and will carry a price tag of €3,000,000 net. The Chiron Noire is also available as a package for the Chiron Sport at an extra charge of €100,000.
