The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V series has got the SmartXonnect technology, a Bluetooth enabled instrument display that originally debuted with the Ntorq scooter. The updated model is priced at Rs 1,14,345 ex-showroom, Delhi.
The technology comes with a Navigation system with turn-by-turn directions displayed on the console. The system is also pre-programmed with essential stops such as fuel stations, hospitals, and restaurants. Since it is Bluetooth enabled, any incoming calls or SMS can be displayed, and the riders can press a dedicated info switch on the handlebar to send a notification to the caller.
Other features include Race Telemetry. The SmartXonnect app records a number of race parameters. The app uses the gyroscopic sensor on the rider’s phone to record the rider’s lean angle through the corners.
As the name suggests, the Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by a 197.75 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine, producing 15.09 kW (20.5 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 18.1 ± 0.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 (± 300) rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle also gets A-RT Slipper Clutch, race-tuned KYB monoshock at the rear, optional race-spec Pirelli tyres, and dual-channel ABS.
