Gazoo Racing has revealed more details on the track-only Supra GT4, which is priced at €175,000 (excluding tax and other charges). The race car will be available for customer teams from March 2020 initially in Europe, followed by North America in August, and Japan/Asia in October.
While the construction is mostly steel, the car has an overall weight of 1,350 kg (2,976 lbs), thanks to the usage of composite materials as well. The 18-inch OZ wheels are shod with Pirelli PZero 305/660-18 slick tyres. Braking duties are handled by steel discs measuring 390 mm with 6-piston Brembo racing calipers at the front and 355 mm with 4-piston (Brembo) racing calipers at the rear.
Also included in the package are KW adjustable racing dampers. Unlike the road car which has two tailpipes, the Supra GT4 gets Akrapovič racing exhaust system with a single tailpipe on the left.
Interiors get a high-strength roll cage and FIA-standard OMP racing seat with 6-point harness. Other standard features include an 8-inch driver display, Datalogger, Motorsport ABS, Traction Control, air jack system, and a fire extinguisher. Options include a rearview camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, suspension travel sensors, drinking system, illuminated car number, and an endurance package.
The Supra GT4 is powered by a 3.0-litre (2,998 cc) in-line 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is tuned to produce 320 kW (435 metric hp) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The race car also gets a motorsport-specification limited-slip differential.
