The mass production Honda e electric vehicle has made its debut at the 2019 Frankfurt International Motor Show, and Honda has confirmed the technical specifications of the new compact EV.

The production version doesn’t look any different than the near-production prototype we’ve seen earlier, including the Side Camera Mirror System that replaces conventional wing mirrors with compact cameras. The only difference you can spot is the Honda e badging at the rear. The pop-out door handles sit flush with the bodywork.

The live images from the aforementioned outside cameras are fed into the two 6-inch displays on either end of the dashboard. While the driver gets a fully digital instrument cluster, there are dual 12.3-inch LCD touchscreens dominating the rest of the dashboard, which brings the total number of screens inside to five. The widgets are draggable and customizable too, watch the video below.

As seen before, the rest of the cabin has a retro-modern theme. The car gets Honda Personal Assistant, an artificial intelligence (AI) feature that can understand natural language. It is activated by saying, “OK Honda”, followed by a question or an instruction.

The Honda e is also accessible using a digital key, which enables the car to be locked and unlocked via a smartphone app.

A 0 – 100 km/h acceleration is claimed to happen in 8 seconds.
